– ‘Who’s next?’ asked Giuliano stately, and the spotlight started scanning the crowd again. Tomasz felt restless, but he was curious about the next victim. His beer got warmer, and it tasted even more bitter than last time around. After a couple of rapid and random shifting around the room, the spotlight settled on a small, average-looking middle-aged man.
– ‘Good evening Sir, please join me on the stage!’ Giuliano jovial again. The man not quite keen to participate in the show with slow and hesitating steps riched the stage. The clown took his hand and pull him up kindly.
– ‘What’s your name, Sir?’ How may I introduce you to this fantastic audience?’
– ‘Jerry…’ said the man, ‘You can call me Jerry.’
– ‘Jerry! Ladies and gentlemen, please Read more Seven of Cups [part 2, work in progress I]

The Magian Tarot and Postmodern theory

Stephen E. Flowers The Magian Tarok

Stephen E. Flowers The Magian Tarok
I bought this book a while ago, and although I still didn’t found time to read it throughout, this introductory chapter is fascinating.
I share a small fragment here in hope to open your appetite to buy and read the entire work.

“Many philosophers and historians of culture have come to the conclusion that the Western world is entering upon a new epoch of history. The changes that are sweeping the Westernized cultures are similar to those which swept across it with the coming of Christianity and the onset of the Middle Ages (in the early part of the first millennium CE), or the triumph of Scientism following the Renaissance (around 1500 CE). This later development led to what we call the Modern world today.
More recent changes, mainly in the late twentieth century, have Read more The Magian Tarot and Postmodern theory

Two of Cups [work in progress]

Two of Cups [work in progress]
Last December, I was exhausted. I am working for a while now on a Cartomancy manual which will be divided into four large volumes, and it was conceived as a step by step, initiatory process. Although it is roughly based on my three decades on research, study and practical experience, on things I have written and especially on the accompanying book for my first published Tarot deck, the re-writing and re-editing process wear me entirely down. So, last December, I decided to allow my self a small break from work. Those who know me by now knows that ‘break’ in my case means another kind of work, respectively focusing on another project.
Some of you also may notice my interest in so-called dystopian literature, especially Read more Join me on an exciting creative-enlightening journey

As probably the vast majority of the card readers, I also started backwards. I have begun with reading the cards; only afterwards, I started studying and learning. Three decades later, I am still learning. I have got to the conclusion that learning is an ongoing and never-ending process. The day I will stop being a student is the day I will probably die.
Cartomancy is the art of reading the cards. (…)

Reading with the Magic Tarot by Frederic Lionel
Frédéric Lionel was born on 17 July 1908, in Amphion les Bains, France. “The Magic Tarot: Vehicle of Eternal Wisdom” was published initially in Franch by Editions du Rocher in 1980. The English translation I own was published in 1982 by Routledge & Kegan Paul Ltd. The book was accompanied by an exclusive, Major Arcana only deck designed by Lionel. The Magic Tarot is one of the very few specially designed, esoteric – divinatory if you prefer – Tarot decks. While the traditional Western esoteric system, primarily represented by the Golden Dawn, is Kabbalah based and only by subordination connected to Astrology and Numerology, Lionel’s work focuses on Alchemy and aspects of self-development and enlightenment. Secrets of Crowley’s Thoth Tarot

Fortune-telling with playing cards comparative charts

Fortune-telling with playing cards comparative charts
Aleister Crowley was an English occultist, ceremonial magician, adventurer, mountaineer, poet, painter, novelist, and allegedly spy or secret government agent, member, or co-founder of several esoteric orders, founder of Thelema, considered the Godfather of modern Satanism and labelled by the press of his time as being “the wickedest man in the world”. Preceded mainly by his bad reputation, Crowley is the one to love or hate. He has remained one of the most influential figures of the twentieth century, both amongst occult-ists and in popular culture. In 2002, a BBC poll placed Crowley on the honourable seventy-third position in a list of the 100 Greatest Britons, a list led by Sir Winston Churchill, and populated by prominent personalities such as Charles Darwin, William Shakespeare, Sir Isaac Newton, John Lennon or Diana, Princess of Wales. He has become even more famous after his death than during his life. Read more Secrets of Crowley’s Thoth Tarot
