The Eights are attributed to Hod, meaning Glory or Splendour, and signifying transformation. The word ‘hod’ connotes both ‘acknowledgement’ and ‘splendour’, in the sense of an aura-like reverberation of light.
Hod is a subtle form of ‘conquering by submission.’ Giving in does not mean to give up.
