Once again, beyond the effective reading, the issues discussed today are important and worth sharing with all of you.
Ace of Cups rev. – Eight of Cups rev. – King of Wands rev.
Fears – Jealousy – Apathy
Card of the day: Eight of Cups rev.
Time: 7:20 to 8 AM
“Find ecstasy in life; the mere sense of living is joy enough.”
Emily Dickinson
– What should you focus on today?
– Why are you jealous? What makes you jealous?
– What is the source of your insecurity?
– Why are you so afraid?
The answer to most questions is in the card representing past: fears.
Fears are quite interesting. Often, no reason justifies fear, no immediate threat, and there are no actual or factual things behind fears. Frequently, fear begins with a simple thought, “what if”, and that thought causes a downward spiral of anxiety. Fear is an emotional matter. At least, the Ace of Cups refers to this type of fear.
The only way to deal with these fears is to go back and identify their roots. Is there an imminent threat? Any aspect of your life is under threat? What triggered your anxiety?
The Tarot is a self-helping instrument. It can be instrumental in digging deeper into your conscious, subconscious and unconscious and identifying the root of your issues. Often, it reveals things you are not aware of or fervently deny.
The process of confronting yourself – or your Shadow, as Jung has formulated – is never easy or pleasant. However, it is the only way to identify the problems, deal with them and start healing.
Jealousy, on the other hand, is an unhealthy, exaggerated attachment.
Ideally, love should be unconditional and selfless. However, often, people mistake loving for having – possessing. Jealousy also reflects insecurity and low self-esteem. These are two clues you should follow to understand their origins.
Finally, we have the reversed King of Wands.
As I previously explained, Kings represent pilgrimage. The pilgrimage’s astrological equivalent is Peregrine, a position 150 degrees apart from Domicile. It’s a tense and unpleasant position, further stressed by the reversed position of the card.
Under favourable circumstances, the King of Wands expresses mature love. When the card is reversed, it reveals apathy, the lack of vital energy and the desire to live.
It is an emotionally highly charged moment which drains you out of energy.
However, it is a bridge you must cross to find sense and purpose on the other side.
