“What does it mean to live fully in the present moment? It means that your awareness is completely centered on the here and now. You are not worrying about the future or thinking about the past. When you live in the present, you are living where life is happening. The past and future are illusions, they don’t exist.”
This is a theory, an approach to solve some personal issues such as anxiety, recommended by several modern day gurus.
“Living in the now”, unfortunately, it’s not a solution, but a trap.
Re-living the same day everyday it’s the best way to avoid reality and annihilate you’re own future.
Modern civilization is based on beautiful words, ignorance and slavery.
“Living in the now” are beautiful words which generates slavery.
It’s one thing to be conscious of the now and the moment, to do thing consciously and not mechanically; and it’s a totally different thing to consider that everything else, the past and the future, are only illusions.
Repeating the same routine keeps you running around the same circle instead going up on the spiral of evolution.
Today is the result of your yesterday fears, dreams, hopes, decisions, actions and lack of actions.
Tomorrow will be generated by today’s fears, dreams, hopes, decisions, actions and lack of actions.
If you consider the past and the future an illusion, something that doesn’t exist, you’ll be trapped in a loop of todays, experiencing the same illusion of reality and life every and each day.
The present you’re experiencing that way is the actual illusion. A present without past, it’s a present without future.
Lying yourself that the present you imagining it’s the only reality that matter, you deny yourself a better, or at least different tomorrow.
Repeating the same routine is the best way to repeat the same mistakes all over again.
They say: “If you’re not living in the present, you’re living in illusion”.
Actually, it’s exactly the other way around.
To know your future, you have to remember your past.
If you remember your past, you will remember, know and understand yourself.
“Living in the now” it’s an illusion and it keeps you unconscious in the state of hypnotic sleep.
Without conscience you can’t do anything and everything will just happen to you.
“Living in the now” is the way our brain generates a false reality arguing that this false reality will keep us safe.
But actually our brain is too lazy to deal with our problems and secondly, our brain is concerned of his own safety, not ours.
Our brain functioning as an independent body.
Make his own decisions. Presumably in our best interest, but actually in it’s own.
Our brain always came up with the best excuses for our failures.
This way the brain protect his own interests, sanity and safety pretending that he makes our own life more “bearable”.
The brain creates – generates – constantly a false reality to “keep us safe”.
We are smart, we are gifted, we are beautiful, we are good.
If something went wrong with our life it’s always somebody’s else’s fault, someone on the outside is to blame.
We are perfect, we always know what is best for us, we take only the right decisions and ultimately, our brain is impeccable.
Well, if we manage to wake up from this false reality for a brief moment, we know it’s not true.
But then again, we fall back into a deep, hypnotic dream and our brain convinces us that everything it’s alright.
Is it?
Most of the time it’s not.
