– What should you focus on today?
– Can you eliminate toxicity from your life?

The key word today is detoxification.
In today’s fast-paced, hyperconnected world, individuals often find themselves overwhelmed by stress, poor health habits, toxic environments, and emotional burdens. These challenges accumulate not only in the body but also in the mind and spirit, leading to fatigue, anxiety, and disconnection from one’s deeper purpose. Detoxification, often narrowly understood by the public as a physical process, is a multidimensional endeavour. True renewal arises from cleansing oneself physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Each layer of detoxification supports holistic well-being and cultivates a more balanced, meaningful life.
Physical detoxification is the process of eliminating toxins from the body to enhance health and vitality. In our modern diets, heavily processed foods, environmental pollutants, alcohol, and sedentary lifestyles contribute to a buildup of harmful substances. Physically detoxifying may involve adopting a clean, whole-food diet, increasing water intake, engaging in regular exercise, and utilising natural methods such as fasting, herbal remedies, or sauna therapy to support the body’s natural elimination systems, particularly the liver, kidneys, and digestive tract. Physical detoxification helps increase energy, improve sleep, enhance immunity, and establish the foundation for further internal work.
Unprocessed emotions, such as anger, grief, guilt, and resentment, can become toxic when left unacknowledged or suppressed. Emotional detoxification involves identifying, expressing, and releasing these negative emotions in healthy ways. Emotional cleansing can be achieved through various methods, including journaling, therapy, breathwork, and engaging in creative outlets such as music and art. Emotional healing requires honesty, vulnerability, and often forgiveness, both of oneself and others. Letting go of emotional burdens enables individuals to experience greater peace, improved relationships, and emotional resilience. It also reduces the psychosomatic effects of emotional stress on the physical body.
Another significant aspect of emotional cleansing is getting rid of our toxic, unnecessary attachments. Emotional dependency can be as much harmful as chemical. Don’t buy the “better the devil you know” proverb. It may involve both emotional patterns or attachment to certain people. Identifying and eliminating the toxic attachments is critical for our psychic health.
Our minds are constantly bombarded with information, opinions, and distractions and can become cluttered and restless. Mental detoxification aims to quiet the noise, improve focus, and reduce anxiety by cultivating mental clarity.
The media and social media can have a devastating and unbalancing effect on our psychic and mental equilibrium. Detoxification also implies disconnecting from media and social media.
Spiritual detoxification involves reconnecting with one’s inner self, values, and higher purpose. Amidst the rush of daily life, individuals often lose touch with their spiritual centre, resulting in feelings of emptiness or a loss of purpose.
Fasting is one of the most common forms of detoxification. However, it is not an exclusive way and needs to be applied to all aspects of our lives, not only restricted to diet.

The cards for today are the reversed Sacrifice, the reversed Four of Wands and the Three of Swords. These cards translate as addiction, separation and compensation.
It means that you have identified the problem (the reversed Sacrifice – addiction), you know that you have to cut it out from your life (the reversed Four of Wands – separation), and the transition needs to be gradual (Three of Swords – compensation) – something like Methadone is used to help people recover from heroin addiction by reducing cravings, easing withdrawal symptoms, and preventing relapse – a form of compensation.
Swapping one addiction for another may serve as a temporary or transitional solution, yet there remains the risk that the new addiction could become permanent.
