Sometimes, considering life as a silly game is much better than taking everything so seriously.
On the other hand, fuck lemons and lemonade! It’s completely unrelated, but I wanted to say it out loud for quite a while. Most of these New Age words of wisdom are total bullshit. Seriously, how many times has the “universe” given you lemons or anything useful for free to help you make something out of it?
Most often, even if you are not looking for trouble, trouble is coming looking for you. That’s life. No free lemons. If you want to make lemonade, you have to buy the lemons. If you don’t have the money, you will never make lemonade. Sure, you can borrow the money, but usually that means that you will be in debt for the rest of your miserable life, or you can steal the lemons, but then you may end up in jail.
And no, don’t blame it on the universe; this is the world that some of us design and build for the rest of us. If there is a G_d, he laughs his ass off.
The challenge of the day is the reversed Two of Disks. It signifies moving backwards. What makes it confusing is that the root card is the King of Disks, meaning stability. Between then and now, something went sideways.
The King of Disks is about finding the right balance in work-related matters. Meanwhile, the Two of Disks relates to social status and career. However, being in the reversed position, instead of climbing the hierarchical ladder, you are falling back.
The current situation reminds me of Sisyphus.
The myth of Sisyphus is one of the most enduring and symbolic narratives in Greek mythology, embodying themes of punishment, futility, perseverance, and the human condition. Sisyphus was the cunning king of Ephyra, later known as Corinth, celebrated not for his wisdom or virtue but for his exceptional cleverness and deceit. According to ancient myths, he repeatedly defied both mortal and divine laws, betraying the gods’ secrets, cheating death itself, and manipulating others for his own gain. His arrogance and refusal to accept natural limits ultimately provoked the wrath of the gods.
As punishment, Zeus condemned Sisyphus to an eternal task in the underworld. He was forced to push a massive boulder up a steep hill, only for the stone to roll back down each time he neared the top. This cycle repeated endlessly, with no hope of completion or rest. The punishment was particularly cruel because it combined exhausting labour with absolute meaninglessness. Unlike ordinary suffering, Sisyphus’s torment offered no sense of achievement, redemption, or conclusion.
Over time, the myth of Sisyphus evolved beyond its original religious context and became a powerful philosophical symbol. In the twentieth century, the French philosopher Albert Camus famously reinterpreted the story in his essay “The Myth of Sisyphus.” Camus viewed Sisyphus as a representation of humanity facing an absurd universe. A universe in which people seek meaning, yet the world offers none inherently. Rather than surrendering to despair, Camus argued that Sisyphus achieves a kind of victory through the conscious acceptance of his fate. By continuing to push the stone despite its futility, he demonstrates rebellion, endurance, and freedom. Camus concludes with the famous idea that “one must imagine Sisyphus happy.”
