Today is the first day of fall.
The autumn equinox in 2025 will occur on September 22. This event marks the beginning of autumn in the Northern Hemisphere when day and night are approximately equal in length.
The start of autumn and the fall equinox are celebrated in cultures and religions around the world with various fall traditions, holidays, and festivals.
In Ancient Greek mythology, the onset of fall is closely linked to the story of the abduction of Persephone. She was a goddess who was abducted from her mother, harvest goddess Demeter, and taken to the underworld to become the wife of Hades, the ruler of the underworld.
After a period of mourning and struggle, Demeter eventually got her daughter back from Hades, but only for nine months of the year. Every fall, Persephone would return to the underworld to spend three months with Hades. During these months, Demeter refused to use her divine skills to make plants grow, explaining why we have three months of winter every year.
Today’s card may indicate that you are inclined to follow your gut feeling instead of listening to reason.
In a totally insane world, that may apparently make sense. However, it is also pretty risky.
With the two Nines in reversed position, there is a lot of work to do on yourself.
Chochmah, the Sefirot associated with wisdom, is blocked. Moreover, the two cards are blocking each other.
Once again, I wonder if you are prepared to accept reality.
Can the Three of Wands provide the shock necessary for a reset?
Gut feelings can serve as the emotional brain’s way of signalling something important, such as sensing that a person or situation feels “off” based on subtle emotional cues.
When you possess expertise in a subject, having amassed considerable knowledge and experience, a “gut feeling” can be a useful additional tool. Experts frequently cultivate reliable intuition through years of study and practice.
Regardless of the weather, I expect a long and hot autumn.
