The reversed Nine of Swords does things superficially and without involvement. They listen but never hear a thing – the message never gets through.
The Nine of Swords makes everything possible to avoid effort and learn only the necessary minimum to get by. The tagline here is: it’s not my problem.
The reversed Sacrifice explores the large universe of addictions. Last November, we discussed the topic lengthily.
Based on the combination of the reversed Nine and Three of Swords, it’s more likely that the issue is an unhealthy attachment to concepts or ways of thinking. You are captive of a particular mental routine which doesn’t allow you to look outside those patterns.
Besides the reversed Sacrifice, the reversed Three of Swords further accentuates the state of dependency.
Today’s reading is a wake-up call. You need to tear down the current walls of thought to find better answers and alternatives. Otherwise, you will continue to go around in the same circle without getting anywhere.
Today is also the last day of 1795 and the new year’s eve.
Even more so, you should close the door on the past and perform a full-scale cleansing to make room for a fresh start tomorrow.
