“Beyond a certain point, the whole universe becomes a continuous process of initiation.”
Robert Anton Wilson

– What should you focus on today?
– How many balls can you juggle at once?

The reversed King and Queen of Disks have relatively similar meanings. The difference lies in the nature of the Elements involved.
The King of Disks is animated by Venus, making the fixation a mental issue, while the Queen of Disks is animated by Pluto, making the obsession an emotional issue.
Venus is about finding balance, and Pluto brings up the deepest and darkest feelings.
The reversed Page of Swords juggles between them.
While in favourable conditions, Gemini amplifies Jupiter’s curiosity, encouraging growth and expansion via learning, with Jupiter retrograde, all the positive energies manifest in the opposite direction. It results in a refusal to communicate and learn, with the individual trying to get ahead by deceiving.
Consequently, it results in a refusal to communicate and learn, as the individual resorts to dishonest or unorthodox tactics to get through.
These are all quite powerful cards, and all three in reversed position create challenging circumstances. It’s one of those days when you survive to fight another day.

However, today’s card allows me to clarify once again the matter of the court and Court cards.
It’s a common misconception that the additional, fourth Court card is the Page, and that it has a feminine attribute to counterbalance the King-Knight duo alongside the Queen.
As you probably know, most playing card decks only have three Court cards, regularly a King, a Knight and a Queen, while the Tarot deck has four. Just for a moment, let’s forget about names and titles, respectively.
My first observation regards the organisation of the King’s court.
The King is the ruler of the court, meaning he is one step higher than his court. Therefore, the court comprises the King’s subordinates: the Queen, the Knights, and the Pages.
This power architecture is represented in the astrological structure of the Tarot deck.
While the zodiac signs are the “gods,” the planets are their messengers. Likewise, the Kings are the gods’ chosen ones, representing humanity. Thus, the Kings and the planets are at the same level and mediate between heaven and earth.
Meanwhile, the three Court cards, the Queens, Knights, and Pages, represent the three astrological Qualities, which are Fixed, Cardinal, and Mutable, making the Queens feminine, the Knights masculine, and the Pages androgynous.
The King’s gender is an even more interesting topic, but I leave that for another time.
