We have an interesting turn of circumstances. Yesterday’s upright Knight of Swords became today’s reversed Knight of Swords.
When I put together the materials for Introducing the Unified Esoteric System and Tarot (purchase it only from LULU), and I attributed a quote to each card, I only had in my mind the upright interpretation.
Working on these daily three-card readings, it has become clear that a quote for the reversed meaning is absolutely mandatory. Thus, it’s a matter that will be addressed in the next book.
On the other hand, philosophically speaking, the purpose of the work is to make the best of any circumstances, including reversing the upside-down cards.
The reversed Knight of Swords deserves to quote Abhijit Naskar, “Honesty is liberating, deceit is tedious.”
Dishonesty has transformed into a commonplace aspect of existence. In times of universal deceit, telling the truth is suicidal.
The questions are: who is deceiving whom, or are you deceiving yourself?
We can obtain a better understanding through the neighbouring cards.
The root is the reversed Nine of Cups, signifying delusion. It’s a critical piece of information, yet it doesn’t answer our questions.
The projected future is envisioned as the Seven of Cups. Now, that seems a much better clue.
Signifying awareness, the Seven of Cups points to the self. Mystery almost solved.
The last piece of the puzzle is Astrology, once again.
The Nine of Cups embodies Neptune in Pisces, and the Seven of Cups represents Neptune in Scorpio. It’s almost like closing a circle. Neptune, the ambassador of Pisces, is the planet of the self and the depths of the subconscious. The upright position of the Seven of Cups corrects the reversed nature of the Nine of Cups. Although the past is unchangeable, it’s healable. Just like moving forward is not optional, but compulsory.
Some say that the journey is more important than the destination, while others claim that achieving your objective by any means is the only thing that matters.
Which of the two philosophies suits you? And now, seriously, you need to be honest.
