Temperance and Justice are two of the twelve most powerful cards in the Tarot deck. Temperance embodies Libra, while Justice embodies Sagittarius. These are quite different temperaments.
Libra is a reactive (masculine) Air sign, Sagittarius is a dual (androgynous) Fire sign. Temperance is guided by reason, while Justice is guided by instinct.
However, by different methods, they both want to get to the bottom of things.
It seems the dice has already been cast. The Six of Swords is only the natural conclusion to the reversed Temperance. Sometimes a broken thing cannot be fixed, and sooner or later, one admits there is no other solution but to move on.
The major challenge regarding the Six of Swords is that you have to give up something familiar and step into the unknown. There is no lesser evil and better Devil. It’s just the brain that gets used to the evil, making it feel bearable. It’s also the comfort of the brain that prefers to handle something familiar rather than deal with the unknown. Thus, the brain produces arguments that the present situation is not that miserable, while any change to the current state of affairs could make it worse. Our worst enemy is hidden within us.
Luckily, the projected future looks encouraging. The Justice card predicts travel, discoveries, and a broader understanding of things. It is not the beginning of a journey, but the successful culmination of your quest.
