– What should you focus on today?
– What gets you out of bed every morning?
The meaning of life is not endlessly searching for a meaning, but enjoying every minute of it.
However, what most often prevents us from fully enjoying our lives is our fear. The fear of being judged, the fear of doing things we are not supposed to do according to various social and moral standards, the fear of failure, or any other fear we carry with us.
Today’s card, somewhat awkwardly, is about overcoming your fears. Or, once in a while, do something crazy, something you are not supposed to do.
Today’s cards are the Ace of Cups, the Six of Wands, and the King of Cups, all three of them in reversed position.
Three reversed cards suggest a rough ride.
These cards signify fear, hedonism, and misadventure. It smells of sex.
The root card cast a shadow of fear over the present.
The present, expressed through the reversed Six of Wands, means you let yourself be driven by desires.
The projected possible future, the reversed King of Cups, signifies an escapade. Due to the reversed position of the card, the probable one-night stand will have an unexpected or unwanted outcome.
The purpose of any Tarot reading is to gain insight into the present, the past, and the future, and to use this information to our benefit by doing everything in our power to make the future possible, or, as the case may be, to prevent that possible outcome.
The future can be influenced and reshaped through our current desires, feelings, thoughts, and actions.
Thus, the reversed Six of Wands can be counterbalanced by the Six of Swords. The Six of Swords suggests leaving behind old habits and ways of thinking, rather than chasing satisfaction.
The question is: Do you want this experience, or do you choose to be rational?
It’s October 6, while Aleister Crowley was born on October 12, 1875.
For one reason or another, today’s card reminded me of Mr Crowley.
Mr Crowley often did things he was not supposed to do. He wasn’t always right, no one is, but he wasn’t afraid of not being right. He was a self-assured person who lived his life according to his standards and desires, not to norms imposed from the outside.
Probably, Mr Crowley is not a role model.
However, Mr Crowley is a good example of how sometimes doing the “wrong” thing can get you to the right place. Sometimes ignoring the rules can lead you to unexpected discoveries and shed a whole new light on things we thought we knew.
Do you remember yesterday’s reading?
Esoteric is not the obvious, but the hidden. It is not the travelled road, but taking the untravelled path. And sometimes, it’s about breaking the rules or doing the unthinkable.
The result may not be what you expected, but the experience gained can be invaluable.
Life is a constantly reshuffled labyrinth of choices. In some circumstances, there are no good or wrong choices, but your choices.
