Ten of Cups rev. – Five of Swords rev. – Two of Wands rev.
Deception – Limitations – Doubt
Card of the day: Five of Swords rev.
Timing:
January 21 to January 29.
9:20 AM to 10 AM.
Spiritual advice: Napoleon Hill said, “The only limitation is that which one sets up in one’s own mind.”
Practical advice: When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. However, sometimes the lemonade doesn’t solve your problems. Sometimes there is no acceptable solution, but you have to go with the least inconvenient one.
“For good ideas and true innovation, you need human interaction, conflict, argument, debate.”
Margaret Heffernan
– What should you focus on today?
– What are your limits?
There are different shortcomings in life; you can be limited in resources, money, affection, or even choices. However, the reversed Five of Swords warns regarding mental limitations, a lack of ideas/solutions, and even shortsightedness. It’s almost as if the answers are there, but you are willingly choosing to ignore them.
Intriguingly, the quick fix for the reversed Five of Swords is the Five of Wands – a poking back to last Thursday’s reading (08/13/2026). Similarly to Thursday, the card that depicts the possible future is another Wand (Fire) card, which can be read as a clue pointing in the right direction for action.
However, don’t panic. Let’s take a closer look at the cards and their underlying relationships.
All three cards are reversed, indicating various obstacles that make life difficult at the moment.
The fading influence is the reversed Ten of Cups, hinting at an emotional blockage caused by deception.
While we can’t change the future, it’s always mandatory to understand and learn from it.
What has caused you disappointment?
Finding the answer can be critical to understanding and addressing the present issues.
Usually, the Ten of Cups relates to collective enjoyment. It exceeds family, which is expressed through the cards related to Cancer, and addresses a larger community. That makes identifying the problem harder.
The reversed Five of Swords acts on the mental level. Thus, the blockage is cognitive.
Here, the question is: do you impose limits on yourself, or do others impose them on you?
If we consider the reversed Ten of Cups, it suggests that the problem extends beyond personal matters.
The antidote for the reversed Five of Swords is the Five of Wands. I do not support violence, but sometimes circumstances require a certain firmness. If you are pushed, you will push back at some point.
The projected future, the reversed Two of Wands, suggests that you will have doubts, maybe even regrets, regarding how you handled the current situation.
I can’t give you any advice. The cards only give the correct radiography of the situation. Thus, it’s critical to focus on your current options and make the best choice. Sometimes, to live for another day is the only thing you can do.
