Papus in a tin box

Papus in a tin box
Papus in a tin box is a traditional 78-cards Tarot deck on 70mm x 121mm, 2.75″ x 4.75″ smooth, 330gsm smooth, professional quality card stock and delivered in a fancy tin box.
Black and Gold, elegant design. The easily distinguishable design and artwork facilitate identifying the cards at first glance. Black is the colour of darkness, it represents our fears and the unknown. Gold represents the Sun, the source of light and the strength originated from knowledge. Can’t cast a shadow without light.
Truth to be told, there was no “Papus” Tarot deck. Papus (Gérard Anaclet Vincent Encausse; July 13, 1865 – 25 October 1916) published two books about the Tarot. The first and most famous is “Clef absolue de la science occulte: Le Tarot des bohémiens, le plus ancien livre du monde, á l’usage exclusif des initiés”, translated into English as “Tarot of the Bohemians”, book which was originally published in 1889. The second is “Le Tarot Divinataire”, published in 1909 and translated into English as “The Divinatory Tarot”. For the later, Papus commissioned Gabriel Goulinat to draw the 22 cards of the Major Arcana, while he used the Minor Arcana cards from the Etteilla deck as illustration. The book practically reproduces the interpretation of the cards given by Etteilla. However, this is an important piece of the Tarot heritage.
Papus in a tin box provides a new take on the original drawings of Gabriel Goulinat and original design for the Minor Arcana cards.
The uprighted and reversed meaning of the cards is printed directly on the cards. Also, further numerological, astrological and kabbalistic attributions. These details facilitate both the reading and learning of the cards.
The digital booklet accompanying the deck includes several methods and detailed instructions on how to play the Tarot game. Parental guidance is advised.
It is an excellent learning and study Tarot deck. Everything someone wants to know, including upright and reversed interpretation, timing details, astrological, cabalistic and numerological attributions, is all featured directly on each card!
