A follow-up to the morning three-card reading. A small excerpt from my upcoming book, “Waiting on the Bench.” Enjoy!
“The dream, albeit more of a nightmare, had come to a natural end. With its gentle touch, the sun brightened the colours, making the cemetery, though not the most cheerful place, appear in a more friendly light. Once again, the little things and the small details made the unbearable endurable. At the moment, the name of the devil hidden in the details was hope. And if the Devil’s greatest trick was making people believe he didn’t exist, then there was no hope either. Yet, I had met the Devil in flesh and blood, so I thought hope could be real as well.”
