The Ananda Tarot by Ananda Kurt Pilz

When I first opened the plastic box of this deck and book set, I was strongly reminded of many of the decks published in the mid-eighties, very “cosmic” and alternative. So I was quite surprised this is actually a deck published in 2001.
The art is very intuitive and I find it is very typical for a Pisces artist – the dreamy and emotional style, the use of effects like starry nebulas, fading and dissolving motives, spheres and ethereal figures. Most cards show soft, matted colors and a color scheme with many hues of blue, but some are vibrant and therefore spring out at you in a layout (e.g. the Magician, the Emperor, Justice (which is 8) and the Devil). The backs are reversible. While Pilz has developed his own symbolism, most of the meanings fit well into the traditional categories and may even bring out some new aspects of a well-known card. The New Age Tarot by Walter Wegmüller

The New Age Tarot also known as Neuzeit Tarot by Walter Wegmüller is a very trippy and vivid Tarot deck. Wegmüller grew up within the Rom Gipsy culture of Switzerland, where he was shown his first Tarot deck. The Via Tarot by John Bonner and Susan Jameson

The Via Tarot: The Path of Life by Susan Jameson is well worth what you will pay for it and more. It is an invaluable tool. I first read a small review about this deck and saw a few pictures of the cards and decided to order it. I am a collector of Tarot Decks and I specifically look for decks created by artist and writers who emphasize the relationship between the Tarot and Qabalah. Tarot Of Dürer

Created in the style of Albert Dürer’s paintings and engravings, the 78 fully-illustrated Tarot of Dürer cards include heraldry and animals as allegorical symbols.
The Durer Tarot pays homage to the German artist of the Renaissance era, Albrecht Durer, who was famous for his paintings and lifelike engravings and is believed to be the ‘best engraver of all time’. Contemporary artist, Giacinto Gaudenzi ‘filtered the interpretation of thinking’ of Durer’s time and produced divinatory cards that are inspired by Durer’s engraving style, but are not slavish reproductions.
