3 of Swords

Your tendency to deviate, diplomatically and harmoniously, is in the area of interpersonal relationships, particularly partners. In the area of marriage, it can mean that you must have the space to do your own thing.
You may be novel in your relationships with others on a one-to-one, equal basis. You are a charming friend with unconventional ideas on how you relate. (Source: trans4mind.com)
“Owing to the exaltation of Saturn in the house of Venus, there is something sinister and subtle about the sign of Libra. Its own nature too, is the balance; and when that balance is upset by such a flaming sword as Uranus being cast into the scale, we may expect very astonishing results. Where Venus is afflicted and Saturn strong, we shall find that the influence is often excessively dangerous; but good dispositions and dignities of Venus, and an harmonious rising sign and happy aspects to Uranus himself, may bring about the development of the most useful forces. The freedom of Libra, an airy sign, will give play to the impulses of Uranus; in fact, one might almost say that he is never more himself than when he is in this sign.” (Aleister Crowley, Uranus in Libra, A Treatise on Astrology, Liber 536)
Uranus was in Libra only seven years since the 1800’s, from October 1968 through November 1974 (as well as May to September 1975). This period represents great transformations in marriage and partnerships, law, and art. Unconventional, previously unacceptable, or new ways of relating such as homosexual, group, or just more loosely defined unions became more commonplace. The spirit of the union rather than it’s legality is more important here, as Uranus in Libra symbolizes independent and willful souls seeking greater freedom in relationship. You may therefore go through a lot of changes trying to find acceptable space and boundaries (or a working definition) for you and your partners. If Uranus or Venus is afflicted, there could be problems with the kidneys. Very tolerant and accepting of differences, you have insights into all social values. You like to facilitate, compromise, and show your breadth of scope in relating: like a coat of many colors. Uranus returns to each sign once every 84 years.
Since Uranus stays seven years in each sign, its effect in Libra is collective and global, rather than individual. Every planet, however, including Neptune, is in a different house every two hours due to the earth’s daily rotation on its axis. (myastrologybook.com)

Uranus in Libra, when well-aspected gives literary and artistic ability of an unusual and original nature where the person follows independent lines of endeavor and expression, often in connection with occultism. This position also gives a keen intuition and an attractive personality, a vivid imagination. It signifies partnership, union, or marriage to someone who will be of a Uranian character and of much benefit to the person. (Source: rosicrucian.com)

7th House, House of Partnerships (Spouse). Close, confidante-like relationships. Marriage and business partners. Agreements and treaties. Matters dealing with diplomatic relations of all kinds, including known enemies. Attraction to qualities we admire from the other partner.

Uranus in the Seventh House, indicates a romantic, sudden, or ill- considered marriage. Sometimes a common-law or other irregular form of union is consummated under this position. Often the marriage partner is a person never thought of as a mate until the Uranian ray impels to marriage on the spur of the moment. (Source: rosicrucian.com)

The number 7 – Uranus, Active/Mental (Air)
Positive traits:
– Skilled at analysis and research, revolutionary, witty, visionary, scientific and inventive, humanitarian, idiosyncratic and experimental, original, unpredictable, resourceful.
Negative traits:
– Radical, unrealistic, stubborn, unemotional, inflexible positions, overly upset by distractions, making changes just for the sake of change, sarcastic.

Crowley: Sorrow. Binah, the Great Mother, here rules the realm of Air. This fact involves an extremely difficult doctrine which must be studied at length in The Vision and the Voice: Aethyr 14. Binah is here not the beneficent Mother completing the Trinity with Kether and Chokmah. She represents the darkness of the Great Sea.
This is accentuated by the Celestial Lordship of Saturn in Libra. This card is dark and heavy; it is, so to speak, the womb of Chaos. There is an intense lurking passion to create, but its children are monsters. This may mean the supreme transcendence of the natural order. Secrecy is here, and Perversion. The symbol represents the great Sword of the Magician, point uppermost; it cuts the junction of two short curved swords. The impact has destroyed the rose. In the background, storm broods under implacable night.

Waite: Three swords piercing a heart; cloud and rain behind.
Removal, absence,
delay, division, rupture, dispersion, and all that the design signifies naturally, being too simple and obvious to call for specific enumeration.
Reversed: Mental alienation, error, loss, distraction, disorder, confusion.

Fortune Telling with Playing Cards:
10 of Spades – Worry; bad news.
