The best deck to start with your learning journey. The deck relais on the Western Esoteric tradition prior to the 20th century, respectively the Ptolemaic Astrology and its kabbalistic correlation and attributes.
Except for a few minor alterations, the interpretation of the card is truthful to the meaning according to Etteilla and was further cross-checked to the writtings of Éliphas Lévi, S. L. MacGregor Mathers founder and head of the Hermetic Order of Golden Dawn (and mentor of Aleister Crowley), Arthur Edward Waite, Oswald Wirth, and Papus.
Introducing the traditional Divinatory Tarot, colour coded for fast learning, featuring upright and reversed meaning of each card printed directly on the cards, plus astrological, numerological and kabbalistic attributions.
The colour scheme and the geometrical patterns of the Numerals facilitate the recognition of relations between the cards in the spread.
The Wands associated withe Fire has a red background.
The Cups associated with Water has a blue background.
The Swords associated with Air has a yellow background.
The Disks (or Pentacles) associated with Earth has a green background.
Major Arcana cards have darker, but similar background colours to facilitate easy reading.
The deck is divided into the 52 cards traditional playing card deck and the additional 26 cards which make the difference up to the classic Tarot deck. This division helps to understand both the structure of the deck and the attribution of the cards.
The drawings of Gabriel Goulinat inspired most of the Major Arcana cards. Gabriel Goulinat is the author of the drawings of the Major Arcana cards for the book Divinatory Tarot by Papus published in 1909.
The 8-sided, accordion, printed mini-booklet has 5 Tarot spreads and contains further instructions.
PLUS, you will receive for FREE the Cartomancy Class One PDF, A5, 24 pages digital booklet introducing basic Astrology, Numerology, Kabbalah and a short history of Tarot and Cartomancy. (For details click here)
