20180102 58-11 Nine of Disks

Day two: Nine of Disks.
The so-called “small cards” or “numerals”, the cards numbered from two to ten represents our mundane life and our relationship with others.
While there is nothing we can do about how the planets influence our existence, we cannot change the path of the planets or the angle in which the Earth is with them at particular moments; but we can change our way of feeling, thinking or acting, respectively interacting with others. 20180101 32-1 Queen of Swords

20180101 32-1 Queen of Swords

Day one: The Queen of Swords.
The first card I draw is the Queen of Swords – a very nice card to start this journey actually!
The Court Cards represents our higher aspirations, our need to evolve and get to the next level of consciousness. This is a difficult and mostly unpleasant process. Evolution is never natural, never comes easy. On the contrary, evolution is against nature, against the status quo. Read more 78 days Tarot challenge, day one

Yes, No, and Maybe type of questions

Yes, No, Maybe

Yes, No, Maybe

I don’t recommend the use of the ‘Yes or No’ type of questions because I have my reserves regarding the accuracy of the answers to these questions. That doesn’t mean, it is not possible to use the Tarot cards for this purpose. Read more Yes, No, and Maybe type of questions

Professional vs. non-professional Tarot reader

professional-vs-non-professional

professional-vs-non-professional

Someone formulated a question regarding the ‘professional’, respectively ‘non-professional’ quality of a Tarot reader. It’s a pretty good question I guess.
Let’s start with what the vast majority believes and expressed in different forms: “Professional can find a market demand for the type of service offered”; “To me, “professional” means someone who makes their living off of what they are doing.”; “Anyone who lives off of readings / gets paid for readings – is technically a ‘professional’.” – and so on.
I would agree if it would be about hookers, hired assassins, or any other ‘shady’, respectively purely physical/material services. But we are talking about a ‘spiritual’ service which requires a higher degree of ‘spirituality’ – awareness, enlightenment, consciousness, call it as you please. It requires a different type of understanding not only of the things we can see, touch, smell or taste but also of the unseen (world). Read more Professional vs. non-professional Tarot reader

The Unified Esoteric Tarot spread, twelve cards spread

Although generally, I prefer the quick and simple spreads, respectively three up to seven cards, in some circumstances, specific questions, requires further in-depth analyses.
The Unified Esoteric Tarot spread, is highly recommended for personal development, self-observation, self-remembering and so-called ‘spiritual’ matters, but it is also an excellent choice to obtain a detailed answer to any specific question regardless of its subject.
The UET spread incorporates elements from Astrology, Numerology, Alchemy, Kabbalah and The Fourth Way. Read more The Unified Esoteric Tarot spread, twelve cards spread

The Way of Tarot by Alejandro Jodorowsky, book review

The Way of Tarot by Alejandro Jodorowsky, book review

Alejandro Jodorowsky - The Way of Tarot - 2009I heard lot of good things about Alejandro Jodorowsky’s book on Tarot, then I read a couple of positive comments on different Tarot forums and specific social media groups. Finally, I stumbled across a quite interesting book synopsis which determined to read the book.
I have to admit, I had quite high expectations, and somewhat I was pretty disappointed. I will explain.
For the beginning, let’s see who Alejandro Jodorowsky is?

Gypsy Oracle Cards – cards and meaning

Gypsy Oracle Cards

Evoking another time and place, this reproduction of a nineteenth-century deck characterizes a bygone era, while offering old-fashioned guidance and wisdom. With any sort of fortune deck it is already suggested that the reader needs to read between the lines since the placement of the cards will not necessarily make sense towards the question asked. Archetypes storytelling cards

Archetypes storytelling cards

I generally do not care to write about non-tarot decks. However, this one intrigued me because it is a variation of the idea used in the Storyteller Tarot. The idea is that cards can be used to create a story from start to finish including everything from character development to plot. This 64 card deck is designed to be useful in many different ways.
