Upright: countryside, field, plain, agriculture, farming or crop growing, tilling or ploughing, real estate, building, farm, sharecrop-ping farm, garden, orchard, meadow, wood, copse, shade, canopy or foliage, pleasure, entertainment, amusement, pastime, recreation, rejoicing, peace, calm, tranquillity, innocence, rus-tic life, forest, dell, mountain, battlefield.
Reversed: domestic quarrel, examination, reasoning, misunderstanding or discord, regrets, remorse, repentance, agitation within, indecisiveness, uncertainty, indecision inconceivable, incomprehensible, doubt, scruple, easily alarmed or jumpy.

Eight of Wands – Mercury in the first decan of Sagittarius.
Upright: The card signifies vision and freedom of thoughts. They have big ideas, and they mean well. The Eight of Wands have a great thirst for knowledge, but they do not have the patience to learn from books, preferring to experiment. They will be preoccupied with the big picture but will be negligent with the details. However, they will enjoy debating everything but have difficulties to focus on a single subject for a long time. The Eight of Wands enjoys philosophy, psychology religion, foreign cultures and travelling.
Reversed: stubborn, impatient, unorganised and rude.

Reversed: sincerity, truth, reality, loyalty, good faith, frankness, ingenuousness, candour, open-heartedness, openness, simplicity. Freedom, science, liberties, familiarity, boldness or audacity, ease, debauchery.

Divination:
Nine of Cups – Jupiter in the second decan of Pisces.
Upright: The Nine of Cups feel obligated to help those less fortunate than themselves. They are empathic, sensitive, devoted, compassionate and caring. They may follow religious or mystical practices, and they are drawn to fantasy and the occult. They may volunteer for humanitarian organisations and they are good at social work, counselling and ministry work. On the other hand, they have trouble with consistency and sometimes they may find it difficult to discern between reality and fantasy. Also, they become easily addicted.

Upright: It is the card of the middle of the road. The Ten of Cups are looking for peaceful resolutions and accept emotional compromises. They prefer to let life happen to them and go with the flow without arguing about anything. Although they may appear calm on the surface, they are often restless on the inside. They need affection and appreciate intimacy.
